Q. How does a solar light work? A. During the prime daytime hours, the solar panel converts energy from the sun into electricity and stores it in the rechargeable batteries. At night, the light is illuminated using the power that has built up in the batteries. The amount of electricity stored depends on weather conditions, such as the strength of the sun and daylight hours etc.

Our solar lights feature 2 LEDs (Light Emitting Diode). Many people are unaware that 99% of solar lights do not use a "light bulb" but in fact an LED. Its like a light bulb but really its an electrical component which has been used for decades. LEDs are very reliable and have a typical life expectancy of around 100,000 hours. When used in solar lights which illuminate during the night this equates to approximately 20 years of use.Their primary use in solar lights is that they consume very little power. All our solar lights offer 2 super bright LEDs, these are situated in front of a reflector and behind a special lens, which dramatically increases the light output, giving off a super bright light.  Our different types of solar lights can be used in various locations in the garden, such as lawns, pathways, decking, borders, flowerbeds, sleepers, stones, etc.....................
